Black Gold, Texas Tea is part of my Colour N Movement Collection (CMC006). My inspiration came from my nephew who immediately saw this painting as water in an oil slick. From my childhood I was reminded of that old TV series named: The Beverley Hillbillies and the chorus in their opening song: Black Gold, Texas Tea. And so this painting was named.
